1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ToHuman ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ToHuman provides an API and web interface for text humanization — converting AI-generated text into natural, human-sounding writing. The Service is currently offered free of charge during our launch period. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API tokens. You must not share your API tokens with unauthorized parties.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or model weights
  • Use the Service to misrepresent AI-generated content in contexts where disclosure is required by law (e.g., academic submissions governed by institutional policies)
  • Resell access to the Service without written permission

5. API Usage & Rate Limits

The Service enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage for all users. Current limits are published in our API documentation. We may adjust these limits at any time. Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary throttling (HTTP 429 responses).

6. Content & Data

You retain full ownership of all text you submit to the Service and all humanized output. We do not claim any rights to your content. We process your text solely to provide the humanization service and do not use your content to train our models.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToHuman and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 if you are on the free tier).

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
